DownEastCon's 2022 overall theme is Catch '22, a take-off on the novel Catch-22 by Joseph Heller and the year.

Just what does Catch '22 "Anything Used in Sunny Italy" actually mean? It means, any WWII military equipment assigned to a unit that can be proven to have served in Italy, Sardinia, Corsica or surrounding waters supporting operations on these islands or the mainland - either Allied or Axis. In addition, this is ITALY!! For other design theme categories, anything Italian of any period would be acceptable. (Does anyone make a Sophia Loren figure, a Ferrari, or a Roman Catapult?)
